BasketyCaskety was designed around one principle: what happens in the field stays on your device. This policy explains, in plain language, what that means in practice.
We collect nothing. BasketyCaskety does not ask for your name, email, location, or any account details to function. There is no sign-up, no login, and no hidden telemetry running in the background while you log a harvest.
Because no information is ever received by us, none is ever used, analyzed, profiled, or sold. There is no advertising engine studying your spore print photos or your favorite oak grove — that data never reaches us in the first place.
Every entry — spore print colors, morphology notes, dehydration logs, and especially your private foraging spot coordinates — is stored exclusively in local storage on your device. Nothing is mirrored to a server or cloud database, by us or anyone else.
BasketyCaskety does not embed third-party analytics kits, advertising networks, or tracking pixels. No outside company receives usage statistics, crash reports, or field data through the app.
Since your journal never leaves your device, there is no transmission to intercept and no remote database to breach. Your harvest history is only as exposed as your own phone or tablet, and you remain in full control of that.
BasketyCaskety does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect data from anyone at all. The app contains no data-collection mechanism that could apply differently by age.
There are no accounts to manage and no servers holding a copy of your work. If you wish to remove your data, simply delete entries within the app or uninstall it — either action permanently clears everything stored locally.
If our approach to privacy ever changes, we will update this page and revise the Effective Date above. We do not anticipate that shift, since offline-first design is core to how BasketyCaskety is built.
